White Fillings
Having concerns over what to do with those old metal fillings? Well, if they are functioning properly, are showing no signs of breaking down, and if you don't mind the color, then don't do anything. Metal fillings are very durable and many people have metal fillings in their mouth that have served them well for many many years. There also is no eveidence that the trace amounts of mercury contained in these fillings causes any sort of medical conditions as has been reported by some sources.
However, if you do not like the color of your metal fillings or are about to get new fillings placed then white fillings may be just what you are looking for. Technilogical advances have presented dentistry with materials that are very strong AND make your teeth look just like they did before being filled.
Dr. Ellis can remove all of your old metal fillings and place new white fillings in one day!! Your new fillings can match the color of your existing teeth exactly or be even a shade brighter if you plan on bleaching in the future.
